Class Descriptions

LEarning labs

TRClasses are aligned to three primary learning domains: Technology, Robotics, and Computer Science. Additionally, most classes are available for four primary age groups and learning goals:

  • K-2 (Discovery)
  • 3-5 (Exploration)
  • 6-8 (Challenge)
  • 9-12 (Engineering)

TRC has five learning labs, a team meeting space, and a GearShop:

  1. Technology lab
  2. Robotics lab
  3. Computer/Cyber lab
  4. Mechatronics lab
  5. CAD lab
  6. Engineering lab
  7. Team meeting space
  8. GearShop
  9. Parent lounge
  10. 3D Printing Lab

We are rebuilding our advanced mechatronics, CAD, and engineering labs this summer for our FTC teams, homeschool community, and workforce development programs launching this fall. The lab is currently under development for launch in Fall of 2024.

Every year, I select a three-word vision statement for my program to ignite inspiration in my students. For this year, our vision statement is "Dare to Explore," aimed at encouraging our students to courageously dive into the deep waters of Technology, Robotics, and Computer Science together.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Let's Dare to Explore!

Coding Adventures: Minecraft, CodeCombat, Codementum

GRADES 3-8 | MONDAY AFTERNOON 5-6

GRADE AS OF 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

Learn coding in a fun way by playing games! In this educational gamified platform, students learn coding while playing a fun and adventurous game with multiple learning adventures to explore. The curriculum is designed exclusively for different age groups allowing students to begin where they are with easy and advanced coding adventures to choose from. Synchronized Text-based and Block-based coding system enables students to switch between text code and code blocks at any time. By converting text-based codes into blocks, students will be able to construct algorithms faster by visualizing the code when they write.
